Andreea Porcelli, Founder of Continental Advisors SA (Luxembourg), is an international Investment Banker with over 20 years of experience in finding investors for US Small Cap companies on a world scale. Andreea has personally guided over 200 companies on international roadshows to funds in 23 countries in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. She is an expert in communicating with investors according to their own cultural and professional requirements.
Andreea began her studies at Fordham University in Manhattan as a journalism major. She enjoyed a year in New York before deciding to spend a semester at the American University in Rome. When she was 20, Andreea moved to Lugano, Switzerland so that she could continue her degree at Franklin College. Her major became International Relations and she developed an interest in the financial industry for which Switzerland is renowned.
Fluent in five languages, and having lived in numerous countries throughout Europe, Andreea Porcelli began her career at Barclays Investment Banking division in London in 1992. Moving to NYC in 1995, she became the youngest Syndicate Manager on Wall Street at the age of 28 for MH Meyerson&Co. a 500-broker firm which was a trading powerhouse in the 1990s. She founded Continental Advisors in 1998 as a Luxembourg based boutique investment advisory. As the only female-owned investment advisory in Luxembourg, Andreea built a name for the firm as the premier bridge between US small cap companies and the international investor community
Andreea Porcelli has obtained over $700 million in financing for US small cap companies during her 20 year career. She has financed over 250 companies spanning two decades and has obtained investments from funds from over 20 countries in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. A renowned expert on international public listings, her company Continental Advisors has represented companies from $25 million – $10 Billion in market cap in developing their international investor base.
The mother of two bi-lingual children, Lorenzo and Sofia, Andreea has been promoting international education since the age of 22 when she published her first book “Where In The World Should I Study? A Guide to International Schools” for English speaking students. Two annual editions followed and the book was available in over 1500 college libraries in the US and abroad.
A breast cancer survivor who was diagnosed at 43, Andreea is a vocal supporter of community programs aimed at educating young women about the importance of recognizing their genetic history, as well as limiting their alcohol consumption, in safeguarding their health.
Andreea is a plaintiff in the $120 million Fraud lawsuit against Twitter. The lawsuit alleges that Twitter management were knowingly “priming the market” for their stock by engaging brokers around the world to show the stock to institutional funds at increasingly higher valuations during a short period prior to their IPO. Andreea’s mission over the past two decades has focused on helping US small and medium sized companies to expand their investor base throughout the world.
